A Film Festival Under the Parisian Night Sky

The film festival 'Clair de Lune' is coming back to Paris this summer from the 1st to the 11th of August 2013. For 13 years, a French cinema establishment called the Forum des Images has been organizing outdoor film screenings during the warm summer months and this year is no exception.

Each screening is scheduled to take place in a mythical Parisian location. What's more, the films on the agenda represent a highly entertaining selection of both old and new classics. As a result, visitors to Paris can discover a variety of movies in some of the most intriguing spots in the City of Light. This includes the Trocadero Gardens, making this festival easy to check out for guests staying at one of the Sister Hotels Champs-Elysées.

Of course, since the films are projected outdoors, entry is free -- so visitors should try to catch as many screenings as they can. The festival opens with the film, 'Midnight in Paris' at the charming Louise-Michel Square in Montmartre. On August 4, the movie 'How to Steal a Million' will play at Trocadero.

From comedies to dramas, originating from a wide range of decades, there is something for everyone playing during the Clair de Lune film festival in Paris. There is also representation from several different countries. All showings  begin at 9:30 p.m., making this the perfect activity to finish off a day of sightseeing in the city. For those who do plan, the festival organizers suggest bringing sweaters and perhaps even something to sit on as only very limited seating is made available.
