Visiting Paris at any time of the year is appealing and attracting. It is never run out of activities and attractions. However, visiting Paris at Christmas is a totally different and charming experience. One of the best attractions in the french capital during Christmas festivities is the Champ Elysées Market. For the holiday season, the most beautiful avenue in the world looks like a Christmas village.
Established in 2008, Christmas market on the Champs Elysées now stretches from the Place de la Concorde to the Rond-Point des Champs-Elysées. In this 2014 edition almost 200 chalets in total will welcome you to Christmas shopping. You will find souvenirs, gifts, traditional crafts and gourmet products. The Christmas Market Artisans will also be present and will host 40 craftsmen who will present their creations and their expertise.
Guests staying at one of the Sister Hotels Champs-Elysées for christmas will be among at least 15 millions visitors who come to walk the aisles of the famous festive market each year.
You wonder if it is reasonable to drag the kids to hang out on the market? If so, it is reasonable, no worries, the need is for our children to have fun and want more. You will be spoiled for choice. Among the events that are open to you this year, you will find mainly Santa Claus, from the 1st to the 24th of December, who will be waiting for you to speak to the children in his sleigh, perched 20 m above the ground and pulled by his reindeer. A spectacular free attraction that wins all the votes every night.
Note that the Christmas Village on the Champs-Elysées will be officially opened by Anne Hidalgo, Mayor of Paris, Friday, Nov. 14, in the presence of many personalities. Do not miss this appointment!
