Mozart’s Opera Buffa Così fan tutte at Palais Garnier, Paris
The Opera de Paris presents a new performance of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s popular opera buffa: Così fan tutte.
The show will take place at Paris’ leading opera house Palais Garnier, from January 23rd until February 19th, 2017.
Così fan tutte was written in Italian by the prolific Italian opera librettist who also wrote The Marriage of Figaro (1786) and Don Giovanni (1787), Lorenzo Da Ponte (1749 – 1838). It is composed of two acts and was performed for the first time on 26 January 1790 on the stage of the Burgtheater in Vienna, Austria.
The show at Palais Garnier will be performed under the baton of the talented conductor Philippe Jordan, with Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker directing.
The opera brings in a selection of the best operatic singers including Jacquelyn Wagner, Ida Falk-Winland, Michèle Losier, Stephanie Lauricella, Frédéric Antoun, Cyrille Dubois, Philippe Sly, Edwin Crossley-Mercer, Paulo Szot, Simone Del Savio, Ginger Costa-Jackson, Maria Celeng, Cynthia Loemij, Juliette Hilaire, Samantha Van Wissen, Camille de Bellefon, Michaël Pomero, Alexandre Gasse, Julien Monty, Adrien Couvez, Marie Goudot, Miho Fujii, and Boštjan Antončič, Vincent Chaillet.
