    The abstract art of the 50s

    Nestled in Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, from February 5th through September 10th, 2018, the Espace Musées invites travelers flying from Hall M at Terminal 2E to discover twenty-one abstract artworks that belong to the Centre Pompidou, one of the most prestigious art institutions in Paris.

    Aiming at breaking away from reality in representing imagery in art, the concept of abstraction in art had a highly significant influence on many leading artists in Europe, especially in the 20th century, something that resulted in creating great pieces of art that are today considered among the most valuable pieces in the world.

    The exhibition at the Espace Musées will allow you to explore the relationship of forms and colors used in creating the masterpieces on display. Over a space of 250 square meters, works by Jean Arp, Auguste Herbin, Judith Reigl, Gerard Schneider, Jean Dewasne, and Simon Hantaï, and many others will be exposed for public viewing.
