The City of Light Showcases Designers Who Look to the Future

The Designer's Days, also called D'Days, is an event in Paris that encourages design professionals from across the city to open their doors and invite visitors to witness their most interesting creations. What's more, each D'Days event is organized around a specific theme to further tie these commercial and artistic creations together. For D'Days 2013, which takes place June 4 through June 9, the forward-looking theme is summed up in one short phrase: 'And tomorrow?'

Throughout several days, both inhabitants and visitors of Paris can explore the evolution of design and better understand the work of designers by discovering them in their element. A couple examples of the types of designers participating in the event are designer furniture shops and even museums.

This is the 12th edition of D'Days, and with the theme 'And tomorrow?', the organizers seek to showcase the ways in which designers imagine the future, including environmental and ecological concerns. As a result, graphic designers, textile designers, object and furniture designers, galleries, and large brands will all be able to reveal their visions for the future.

D'Days includes shops from all over Paris, and guests staying at one of the Sister Hotels Champs-Elysées will be pleased to discover that two participating designers are located near them in the 8th arrondissement, not too far away from the Avenue des Champs-Elysées.

First, there is Puiforcat, a shop with a long history of providing the well-off in Paris with designer objects for their homes. Puiforcat is located next to the Franklin D. Roosevelt metro stop at 48 Avenue Gabriel. In addition, a bit more to the north, the Dyson store on 64 rue de la Boétie will also be participating in this event.
