Tico Reinvents Classic French Food in a Stylish Setting

Located in the converted locale of former music publisher Choudens, the Tico restaurant is serving up classic French food in an ultra-sophisticated setting. Architect Luis Alelulia was responsible for the project that transformed the space into a luminous, two-floor eatery with a dining terrace. Complete with a bar and a smoking room, the Tico has become a very popular address for the chic inhabitants of Paris's 8th arrondissement.

Chef François Chambonnet ensures that the food is as impressive as the decor, as he combines rustic French cuisine with the latest food trends. As a result, diners can discover classic dishes that have undergone a makeover — such as scallop ravioli, gnocchi with algae butter and Moroccan meat pie stuffed with foie gras.

Thanks to the creativity and mastery of the chef, diners will be delighted from the first course until dessert. Starters at the Tico restaurant include pressed feta with grilled vegetables and basil sorbet, marinated salmon rolls prepared 'gravlax' style and served with quinoa, and celeriac ravioli with seasonal vegetables and tomato coulis.

Main courses include caramelized pork filet mignon with soy sauce and carrot pearls, salmon filet poached in a Thai bouillon served with sun-dried tomatoes and baby vegetables, as well as roasted cod filet infused with lemon grass and served with ratatouille.

To complete this satisfying meal, diners can choose from chocolate mousse served with French pastry ot exotic fruit meringue, among other desserts. Guests staying at one of the Sister Hotels Champs-Elysées will be pleased to find that the Tico is located just a short stroll from their rooms, on Rue Jean Mermoz.
